Counting down

10 days to go.

Today I swam 1000 yards worth of 100 yard repeats (breast stroke). Later today I have an hour long ride planned. We'll see how that goes. The weather has changed to wonderfully cool and just a bit breezy. I'm really looking forward to getting out there today. Within the next day or two I'll load the kids in the car and go drive the bike course to give myself an idea of what I'm up against.

I don't get to follow very many bloggers who are training for their first Tri.

So, this morning, I went back through your blog. Do you remember getting so frustrated that you couldn't get the balance thing down, or the breathing?

I remember reading about you not being able to complete a lap without struggling.

I never realized how much fun and inspiration I could get from following along since day 1. Here you are 10 days out, and you're doing 1000yds.

With your training, I know you probably don't have time to get that warm fuzzy feeling right now. But I am so proud of you. I mean it. I am so happy for you for fighting through the injury, for sticking with it when the swims were difficult.

I really can't wait to read your race report. I mean this sincerely, you are going to have a fab time!
